Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Bible Voice ("Bible Voice," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Vibeler Inc., a company based in Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Bible Voice mobile application (the "App") and the biblevoiceai.com website (together, the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other privacy laws that apply to you.

1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service and give you a personal experience.
- Account and identity data: your first and last name, email address, username, and profile image, along with the sign-in identifier we receive from Apple or Google (a stable identifier for your account) or your email address if you use a magic link. We do not use or store passwords. If you use Sign in with Apple with private email relay, we receive the relay address Apple provides rather than your personal email.
- Onboarding answers and preferences: your first name, the age group you select (we do not ask for your date of birth), chosen voice, the "what's on your heart" feeling you select, what brings you to the App, how often you engage with faith, how you discovered us, any referral code, and your settings — voice, Bible translation, font size, daily reminder time, timezone, and notification preferences.
- Content you create: your AI chat messages and the AI responses to them, prayer inputs you submit, mood check-ins and any notes you add, journal entries, and prayer requests and posts you share within a circle.
- Usage and progress data: journey progress, streaks, practice completions, daily activity, and message counts used to operate the Service.
- App-store transaction data: if applicable, the receipt records the app stores provide so we can verify access — such as transaction identifiers, product identifiers, status, and relevant dates. We never receive or store your credit-card or payment-card number; Apple and Google process store transactions.
- Device and technical data: a push-notification token, a device identifier, your platform and app version, and diagnostic information used to keep the App working. We use your IP address transiently to operate and protect the Service (for example, to rate-limit sign-in requests); we do not store it alongside your account.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- provide, personalize, and maintain the Service — your voice, daily content, journeys, reminders, and progress;
- generate AI narration, interpretation, chat responses, and prayers you request;
- operate community features such as circles and prayer requests;
- process and verify app-store access and manage referrals;
- send you notifications you have enabled;
- respond to your questions and provide support;
- keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems; and
- meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Under Canadian privacy law we rely on your consent to collect and use your personal information for these purposes. In most cases consent is implied when you choose to use a feature; for anything sensitive, we rely on your express consent. You can withdraw consent at any time, as described in Your Privacy Rights, though some features may not work without the information they depend on.
3. AI Features and Your Content
Bible Voice includes AI-generated narration, interpretation, chat, and prayers. When you use these features, the text you send — your message, recent conversation history, the scripture you are reflecting on, and any prayer input — is sent to our AI provider (currently OpenRouter, which routes requests to large language models including Google's Gemini) to generate a response. Your chat messages and the AI's responses are stored in your account so your conversation history is available to you.
This processing is used to deliver the feature to you. We do not use your prayers, chats, or other content to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it. We do not use your content to train our own models. Third-party AI providers process your content under their own terms.
Please don't enter information you consider highly sensitive — such as financial account numbers, government IDs, or detailed health information — into chat, journal, mood, or prayer fields. AI responses are companions to Scripture and reflection, not professional pastoral, medical, legal, or financial advice.
4. Safety and Crisis Detection
To help keep people safe, the App runs automated checks on chat messages for signals that someone may be in crisis or at risk of self-harm, and may respond with crisis-support resources such as helpline numbers. These checks are automated and are not monitored by a person in real time.
Bible Voice is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available in the U.S. and Canada), or call 911 or your local emergency number. See our Terms of Service for more.
5. Community Features
Bible Voice includes optional community features — circles (small groups you create or join with an invite code), prayer requests shared within a circle, group check-ins, and accountability "walks" with a partner. When you use them, other members of that circle or your walk partner can see your display name and profile image, and the content you post to the group. Prayer requests can be marked anonymous, which hides your name from other members. Community content is shared only within the circles or walks you choose to join — it is not public, and we do not share it outside those groups.
6. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not serve third-party advertising in the App.
- We do not use third-party analytics, attribution, or ad-tracking software in the App, and we do not use your advertising identifier.
- We do not share your prayers, chats, journal entries, or mood check-ins with other users unless you explicitly post them to a circle.
- We do not use your religious beliefs or the content of your prayers to target you with ads.
7. How We Share Information
We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers (processors) that help us run the Service, each bound by contracts requiring them to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us. These currently include: cloud hosting and databases (DigitalOcean), AI processing (OpenRouter, routing to providers including Google), transactional email such as magic-link and welcome messages (Twilio SendGrid), push notifications (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging), and content delivery for audio and images (Cloudflare).
- Sign-in providers: Apple and Google, when you choose to sign in with them.
- App-store transactions: Apple and Google handle store transactions under their own privacy policies and provide us the receipt records we use to verify access.
- Other members of your circles or walks, as described in Community Features.
- Legal and safety: when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Vibeler Inc.
- Business transfers: if Vibeler Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
8. Where Your Data Is Processed
Vibeler Inc. is based in Ontario, Canada. Your information may be stored and processed in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our service providers operate. When personal information is handled outside your home jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access by courts and government authorities. We take contractual and organizational steps intended to give your information a comparable level of protection wherever it is processed.
9. Retention and Deletion
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Your chat history stays available to you until you delete an individual conversation or your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings within the App. When you do, we delete your personal content — including chat history, mood check-ins, journal entries, journey progress, prayers, referrals, reminders, and saved devices — and we anonymize the remaining account record by removing identifying fields such as your name, email, and profile image. We may retain limited information where required to meet legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations, or to resolve disputes, and we delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.
Deleting your account only deletes your Bible Voice data. Separate app-store transactions are managed by Apple or Google in your device's app-store settings.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete (much of this you can update yourself in the App);
- Delete your account and associated personal information;
- Withdraw consent to our use of your information, on a going-forward basis; and
- Ask questions about how your information is handled, or file a complaint.
You can delete your account yourself in the App. For access or correction requests, or to exercise any other right, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, or in California or another U.S. state with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights under those laws — contact us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens are stored on your device in encrypted storage, and audio and image content is served through short-lived, access-controlled links. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. Some operational logs may include limited identifiers such as an email address for troubleshooting sign-in and delivery. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. When you set up the App we ask which age group you fall in (not your date of birth), and we do not allow an account to be created for the under-13 age group; nothing about that selection is stored. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it. In some jurisdictions the minimum age of digital consent is higher; where that applies, you must meet the minimum age in your location.
13. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we send reminders and community and activity updates using Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which requires a device push token. You can turn notifications off at any time in the App's settings or your device settings.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the App or by email where required. The "Last updated" date above shows when this version took effect. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
15. Contact Us
Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy can be sent to our privacy contact at [email protected].
